PRP Treatments (Vampire)

Wrinkle Reduction

Wrinkles are visible creases in the skin. Most wrinkles are associated with ageing changes in skin and ageing of the skin and skin structures ( hair and nails) is a natural process.

Frequent exposure to sunshine results in premature skin wrinkling and increased pigmentation ( liver spots ). It also increase the likelihood of skin cancer. Exposure to cigarette smoke is another environmental factor that increases wrinkling of the skin. Nothing can be done to decrease the rate of skin ageing, but many environmental factors will increase the rate.

Treatment Options at The Ailesbury Clinic

Anti-wrinkle injections have been used for over 20 years and both safe and effective for the treatment of upper facial wrinkles such as crow’s feet, lines on the forehead and frown lines. They are one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the world today.

Botox is used to reduce wrinkles in the upper and lower face and neck. They are most popular in the frown lines, forehead and around the eyes. Ailesbury Clinic also specialises in treating the lower face and neck. It can also be used with dermal fillers such as Restylane and Emervel. Areas treated are divided into areas such as frown lines, forehead or around the eyes.

Costings for the areas treated are:
1 area €250
2 areas €350
3 areas €450

Botox is also used to treat excessive sweating in the underarm or hand areas. Dr Treacy was one of the first practitioners worldwide to use the compound for this treatment as far back as 1998 in Australia. Prices for this treatment (hyperhydrosis) are available upon request.

The treatment takes about 15 minutes and the effect can be seen from 5 to 12 days after, resulting in a younger, fresher appearance with results lasting up to 3-6 months.

Areas anti-wrinkle injections are effective on:

  • Lines on forehead
  • Frown lines ( between the eyes)
  • Crow’s feet ( around the eyes)
  • Upper lip lines
  • Sagging eyebrows
  • Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)
  • Migraine
