We won ‘Best Clinic in Ireland’ (2005) for introducing an Australian model walk-in minor surgery- skin cancer screening service to Ireland. We introduced thread lifting to Ireland (Contour Threads 2004) giving Irish patients a ‘face-lift’ without surgery, increasing safety and decreasing downtime. We introduced Erbium YAG lasers (Mediblate 2003) and fractionalised CO2 (Lumenis ActiveFx 2006) for skin resurfacing and acne scarring. Our medical director published research data and lectured as key opinion leader internationally (2013). We completed the European trials for RadioFrequency in aesthetic medicine (Syneron 2004), (Polaris 2004) and brought the first devices to Ireland that year. We opened Ailesbury Cork (2005). Ailesbury Clinic won ‘Best Aesthetic Clinic’ in the Uk & Ireland (2008), Highly Commended (2009) and ‘Best Cosmetic Clinic in Ireland’ (2016). We introduced FUE hair transplant to Ireland (2005) and expanded to (UAE 2008) and franchised to India (2011), Holland (2012) and Saudi Arabia 2014). Due to the increasing demand for non-surgical fat removal we introduced (Deka SmartLipo 2004), ultrasonic assisted liposuction (VASER 2005) and focused ultrasound (Ultrashape 2006). These procedures were safer as fat was removed under local anaesthetic reducing obesity related anaesthetic mortality. Our Medical Director, Dr. Treacy won the prestigious AMEC medical research award in Paris (2014) and (2016) for research related to wound healing. He developed new techniques for treating impending skin necrosis due to dermal filler vascular occlusion.
