How does it work
Hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the areas being treated, using a fine needle or a cannula. It adds volume directly, which lifts and smooths the skin above it, and it also draws in water, which helps the skin look fuller.
The appointment starts with a consultation covering what you want to change and what is realistic. Numbing cream can be used first. The injections themselves take a few minutes per area, and makeup can go back on within about an hour.
You will see the result straight away, though some swelling in the first day or two is normal. Fillers are gradually broken down by the body, so results generally last nine to twelve months depending on the product, the area and the individual.
