How does it work
Nordlys is a medical laser and intense pulsed light platform. It is used for unwanted hair, vascular lesions, pigmented lesions, photodamage, wrinkle reduction, acne and nail fungus. Peer-reviewed studies credit the system with one of the highest hair clearance rates available.
Different concerns use different settings. Pigment spots and sun damage are treated by targeting melanin; thread veins, facial redness and rosacea by targeting the blood vessels; acne by reducing the blood supply to the sebaceous gland and acting on the bacteria directly.
Larger leg veins may need injection treatment instead, and severe varicose veins need surgical assessment. Smaller leg vessels are often treated with the Nd:YAG 1064 laser on the same system.
