Platelet Rich Plasma Skin Rejuvenation Therapy is one of the latest anti-aging, skin rejuvenation procedures available. Offering a natural approach to improving the overall texture and tone of your skin naturally by using your own bodies resources

It can be used on most skin areas ; eyes, face, neck, scalp, chest and hands

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains high levels of tissue growth and regeneration factors which are vital to cell growth and rejuvenation. PRP works to revitalize the skin by improving blood supply and stimulating collagen formation, the results of which improve and increase over time.

In 2010 Dr. Patrick Treacy pioneered an AWARD WINNING novel method for full facial rejuvenation, which combined a number of established treatments to obtain the most optimum result. The DUBLiN Lift combines five treatments in the rejuvenation of the ageing face in an effort to increase aesthetic effect, patient safety, and reduce laser downtime. This won the much coveted medical research AMEC Award in Paris in 2014.

The facial rejuvenating therapies include microneedling, PRP growth factors and Omnilux 633 nm light. The technique is called the Dublin facelift as an acronym of previous involved: Dermaroller, UltraPulse laser, Blood growth factors, Light (red 633 nm), and Neurotoxin.

 

 

The PRP Program

Here at Ailesbury Clinic, Cork & Dublin, we have helped many patients
with our 3 Step Patient Program (used for all of our Treatments)

1) Comprehensive Skin Consultation

This step involves a comprehensive skin consultation. This includes:

  • Examination
  • Diagnosis
  • Structured treatment plan

We always allow plenty of time to discuss any questions and queries you may have regarding your specific concern and treatment plan options.

 

2) PRP Treatments

This stage involves just 1-3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Treatments are quick and easy and makeup can be applied within an hour!

Numbing cream can be used prior to reduce discomfort.

Your skin is cleansed, a local anaesthetic is applied to the treatment area.

A small amount of blood is drawn and placed in the GLO centrifuge, which will separate the plasma.

The platelet-rich plasma is then activated. This activated plasma is then injected into the area to be treated using a series of small injections.

This therapy relies on using the body own self repair mechanisms. This platelet rich plasma contains growth factors which will help repair damaged skin and injured tissue.

3) Long Lasting Results

Some patients will only need one treatment others may need two or three treatments at 4 to 6 week intervals.

1 Treatment lasts approx 6 months, 3 Treatments can last approx 18 months
